— Human Rights Campaign
With Election Day just over 50 days away, the Human Rights Campaign would like to take the opportunity to announce the endorsements of Nevada candidates who have stood for equality. Now is your chance to stand with them. Sign up to help elect these pro-equality candidates.
As Congresswoman, Shelley Berkley has consistently scored 100% on HRC’s Congressional Scorecard while her opponent has scored 0%. In the Senate, she will continue to stand with the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, with her cosponsorship of the Respect for Marriage Act, repealing the discriminatory Defense of Marriage Act.
In 2008, HRC endorsed then State Senator Dina Titus and worked with her in Congress, as she sponsored the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and the Employment Non-Discrimination Act. In 2012, Nevadans have the chance to send a strong supporter back to Congress.
State Senate Majority Leader Steven Horsford and State Assembly Speaker John Oceguera were instrumental in passing the law to create Nevada’s domestic partner registry. In Congress, both Steven and John will continue to be a major force working towards full equality.

P.S. HRC volunteers and supporters will be out in full force this election season in Las Vegas and all across Nevada.
